
Biography
Sean is a passionate and committed podiatrist at Thrive Sports Medicine. He has completed a Bachelor of Applied Science/Masters in Podiatric Practice at La Trobe University. With experience across a variety of sports but most heavily in track and field, Sean developed an interest in managing musculoskeletal injuries during his teenage years. Learning how a detailed and thoughtful approach could impact and change the trajectory of someone’s current injury situation drove Sean’s passion to begin studying podiatry.
During his Studies, Sean’s interests broadened along with his knowledge of podiatry building a desire to help all people stay on their feet and be pain free. Sean has a strong passion for all areas of foot health with a keen interest in musculoskeletal pathology, heel pain and sports injuries in addition to general podiatric care. He understands the importance of supporting people to stay on their feet to allow them to continue to partake in their desired activity.

Career Highlights
He has spent his time across several sports including tennis and basketball at the club level but has considerable experience in track and field competing as a sprinter across the country, in Europe and the USA.
He also previously spent a year studying Sports Management at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, in addition to competing as a Student Athlete as a sprinter at the NCAA division one level.
He has experience working at Melbourne’s Podiatry based running shoe store Active Feet, providing him extensive knowledge of the current footwear landscape and how it pertains to injury and performance.
Outside of work, Sean enjoys summer weather the most with time at the beach taking a priority when free time is available to him. Outside of this, he enjoys maintaining a high level of fitness through training whilst also finding time to try alternative sports at a recreational level with his friends.
